Paws For Hope is a non-proceeds association that offers Service Dogs to disable paws of veterans. Our dogs are located among veterans upon finishing of our 18-month course. Not only do we help dogs learn good behavioral skills, we also teach owners how to properly communicate with their dog; the result is a well-behaved, obedient member of your family.The dog is evaluate for regular actions, good and bad. A reeducation process begins at the facility where the dog is kept for a short period of time to make the necessary adjustments to their behavior.
While your dog is being worked with, you will work one on one with our trainers to learn the skills necessary to properly handle your dog. You will also attend our group classes to help reinforce dog handling skills. All family members are trained in the proper technique of the following: Leash technique, commands and hand signals, corrections and discipline, playtime, and canine pack behavior.
